KVB D-Lite Mobile Banking App Re-Design

In just 24 hours, I redesigned the KVB D-Lite Mobile Banking App as part of a Design-a-thon competition, where the project won 1st place. The redesign focused on improving usability, enhancing customer support access, and adding new features based on direct user feedback. This project earned recognition from Mr. Aravindan Thillai, Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Karur Vysya Bank (KVB).

Major Steps Followed:

  • Heuristic Evaluation: Identified design inconsistencies and usability issues.

  • Guerrilla Research: Conducted quick, targeted user interviews at a KVB ATM.

  • User Persona Development: Created detailed user profiles to guide design decisions.

  • Design Thinking Process: Followed the stages of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Design, and Test.

Key Learnings:

  • The importance of rapid user feedback through Guerrilla Research.

  • Effective time management in a constrained timeline.

  • The impact of user-centered design in improving app usability and satisfaction.
